The Start of Blogging.

I wanted to start a blog because I think sometimes, when I go through my day-to-day life, when I go through all of this process of building, creating, iterating, etc., I have a lot of thoughts and ideas that I bank in my brain. So I thought to come up with a way to just lay it out and store them publicly as well.

I think doing this would also be beneficial for the future me, because I can look back and realize the progress of the things that I do at a glance.

I think this blog is not necessarily aimed at getting popular, getting traffic, or having some sort of expectation that a lot of people will read my blogs. I think this is much more of an aim for me to be consistent on something and just keep doing it every day. If it's terrible, it is what is is. If it's good, then great.

Last month I scrolled to page 5 of a Sales Navigator search and told myself about 60% of these were personal injury firms. Good list, order it. It was 24%. I only found out because I'd ordered a 250-row test export from Vayne first and ran a regex over the file before spending anything on the real one. (I'd been burned on a filter earlier that month, so I'd stopped trusting my own eyes.) The thing is, Vayne walks the pool in a different order than the browser shows you. So the page I was looking at told me nothing about the list I'd actually receive. I was judging a sample that didn't exist. I'm going to keep doing these, a short post each time on what my lead data says versus what I assumed. Next one is about websites, because half of any export doesn't have one, and that changes how many emails you can find.
